May Updates
Hello! Welcome to our Changelog. PrimaryBid is happy to announce the first round of improvements to the Connect API developer portal. All live and ready to take your API integration to the next level. We live and breathe the best possible Developer Experience (DX). The Changelog is here to prove it. Ready? Let’s dive in!
Glossary launch
Have you asked yourself what is an offer, subscription, allocation, or webhook? Great. Now we’ve got you covered. Enter PrimaryBid-specific jargon, busted. We added definitions of industry-specific words to support your API integration. Next time you see a dot-underlined term, just hover over it and read the pop-up to learn what it means. You can also find the definitions in the Basic Concepts section on the Data Flow page.
Simplified request widget
Following user feedback, we polished the Request widget. We removed two packages from the code examples for Node.js - API and Request - leaving only Axios, Node-fetch and HTTP in the dropdown menu. The result is a clearer Request modal, which contributes to seamless API integration.
All endpoints on the Home page
Displaying all endpoints from the get-go significantly improves the developer experience. It also reduces the time spent scouring the API reference. That’s why all endpoints are neatly listed and easily accessible on the left-hand pane. You no longer have to click on each endpoint type (Offers, Subscriptions, etc.) to access our API methods.
More visible examples
All our endpoints feature examples, at least for a 200 successful response and a 400 error response. These were previously tucked away in a corner of the page. Now thanks to the “click here” call to action placed next to each response type, they’re significantly more visible. Users can spot them, plus, they’ll know they have to click through to the code sample, which is great news!
That’s all for now, but stay tuned for more exciting updates.
May the fourth be with you!
